Mud & Soil Stain Removal from Carpets
Mud and soil can ruin a carpet; when you have a busy house with people coming in and out it's likely at some point that mud and dirt will be trodden into your nice clean carpet. This perennial stain is less problem when you have Vanish Preen's range of carpet cleaning products in the house.
HOW TO REMOVE MUD & SOIL STAINS FROM A CARPET?
To get general mud & soil dirt out of your carpet, we recommend using Vanish Preen Powerpowder Large Area Carpet Cleaner. For mud & soil in high traffic areas like hallways and staircases, we recommend using Vanish Preen Powerfoam High Traffic Carpet Cleaner
Ventilate the room well prior to use.
Vacuum the carpet before use.
Shake the Vanish Powerpowder container vigorously before each use to maximise product coverage.
Sprinkle Vanish Powerpowder generously and evenly on the carpet. Do not apply to more than 0.6x1.5m area at a time to prevent drying out.
Using a soft bristle brush, immediately work the Vanish Powerpowder into the carpet. Gently brush until soil disappears.
Wait at least 20 minutes for the powder to dry. Meanwhile replace cap tightly & fit a new vacuum bag or empty the machine. Now vacuum the whole carpet thoroughly.
Occasionally you may find light patches after cleaning. The powder can bind to stain residues; you can remove the residues with a soft brush and vacuum again.
Important: Always follow the usage instructions on the Vanish packaging.
Do not use with water filter type vacuum cleaners, water extraction or shampoo machines or any other machine treatment involving water. Do not use on special carpets like antique or oriental rugs.
Shake the can well and spray from an 80cm height over the area which needs treating. Always spray the carpet cleaner downwards, never upwards.
Work the foam into the carpet using a clean, damp colourfast sponge-mop or cloth with an up and down stroking motion (not circular)
Leave for 2-3 hours, or until dry, and vacuum thoroughly to remove dried foam and loosened dirt.
If you don't have Vanish Preen on hand when the stain occurs don't worry as Vanish Preen can help treat mud and soil stains even after they have dried in.
Important: Always follow the usage instructions on the Vanish packaging. Do not use on wool, silk or leather. Do not use on finished or coated surfaces - for example wood, metals etc.
